What
you should know about planning your
wedding at
St. Catherine of Siena Chapel at St.
Malo Center…. |
- You
will make your own musical and floral
arrangements. We do have an organ in the
loft for your use. We can recommend a
couple of organists who have played for
weddings in the past.

You can decorate the Chapel however you'd
like. We ask that you use dripless candles.
If you would like to throw flower petals
or blow bubbles outside at the wedding
party following the ceremony, that is
allowed. We prefer you not use birdseed
and rice is not allowed.

There are no restrooms in the Chapel so
you will need to forewarn your guests.
They are welcome to use our public restrooms
in the retreat center.

We do not provide wedding consultation
services. Typically you work with your
priest or deacon or the wedding coordinator
from your parish to plan the ceremony.

We provide everything your priest or deacon
will need to perform the ceremony or celebrate
a Mass, to include hosts, wine, altar
candles, altar cloth, lectionary, etc.
We also have vestments, but your priest
or deacon may want to bring his own alb.

In order for the chapel to stay clean
before your wedding, we will keep it locked.
Everything that your priest or deacon
will need to set up for your Mass or ceremony
is located in the cupboard in the sacristy
of the Chapel.
Therefore, plan to have someone pick up
the key to the chapel from our staff member
at the front desk in the retreat center.

The room where the bride and bridesmaids
can change in before the wedding, based
on availability, is located in our retreat
center and is usually one of our guest
rooms. It is like a typical hotel room
with a private bath. Please plan to remove
all your personal items from the room
before your wedding.

There is no cell phone service here in
our location, so please keep that in mind.

You might want to remind your guests to
bring bottled water with them to have
in the car and upon arrival.
